Reflections on the Church's Year

The Archbishop has recorded video reflections for a number of significant liturgical seasons:

  • Lent Video
    The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, reflects on Lent as a time to "sweep and clean the room of our own minds and hearts so that the new life really may have room to come in and take over and transform us at Easter".

    The Archbishop gives his thoughts on Pentecost, the seventh Sunday after Easter, is 'the moment when the friends of Jesus discover that they can communicate to all sorts of people they never thought that they would be speaking to'.

    The Archbishop gives his reflections on Advent: 'It is a time of expectation and a time of hope. A time, therefore, also of quiet'.
