Advanced Item Search
Tips for using the Advanced Item Search
The Advanced Item Search helps to pinpoint specific speeches, sermons, articles/interviews and press releases held on this website.
Any of the search fields may be used on their own or in combination. Using several fields in combination will narrow the results.
For example:
- Entering a keyword or exact phrase in the first field but leaving all other fields alone will search for that word or phrase within the entire archive of speeches, sermons, articles/interview, and press releases across all years.
- Entering the same word or phrase, but also selecting "March" and "2005" from the Date field, and "Sermons" from the Document type field, will search for the word or phrase only within sermons from March 2005.
- Using the Country or Province, Diocese or Theme options will restrict the search to items which have been tagged with that country/province, diocese or theme on the website.
Special note about the Keyword or exact phrase field: Please note that phrases do not require quotation marks around them, so if you enter more than one word it will be taken as a phrase rather than two individual keywords. Phrases may be as short or long as you wish, but must be exact - the search is not case-sensitive but is sensitive to punctuation.
