The Feast to visit Lambeth Palace

A group of young Christians and Muslims from The Feast, an inter faith group based in Birmingham, will meet with Archbishop Rowan Williams at Lambeth Palace.

The Archbishop and fellow faith leaders will visit the new Olympic Park, and will learn about the multi-faith chaplaincy service that will support athletes and Olympic staff during the games.

Archbishop Rowan Williams and Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks will open a conversation on the theme of ‘living well together in Britain today’. The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, will offer reflections from a Government perspective.

The Archbishop has invited Crispin Blunt MP to deliver a lecture "Perspectives on Restorative Justice" at Lambeth Palace. Crispin Blunt is the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Prisons and Probation.

Advent Carol Service at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London
Sunday 27th November 2011
Archbishop Rowan will preach at a Carol Service at St Martin-in-the-Fields in central London. The church will be exploring their Advent theme of "Heaven in Ordinary", with music from the Choir of St Martin-in-the-Fields.

The Archbishop will give evidence in person to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Government's Draft Bill on House of Lords Reform.

Archbishop to attend Lord Mayor of London's Banquet at Guildhall
Monday 12th November 2012
The Archbishop will attend the Lord Mayor of London's Banquet at Guildhall and will make a few remarks at the conclusion of the dinner. Alderman Roger Gifford was elected as the 685th Lord Mayor on 1 October and takes up office on 9 November, the day before the Lord Mayor's Show.
