Festival of the Sons of the Clergy, St Paul's Cathedral
Archbishop Rowan Williams, as President of the Corporation of the Sons of the Clergy, will attend the 358th Festival of the Sons of the Clergy in St Paul's Cathedral on Tuesday 15th May at 5.30pm.
The service is an annual service of thanksgiving and rededication in respect of the work of the Sons of the Clergy charity in helping clergy and their families in times of financial need. See more information about the Sons of the Clergy here.
The Archbishop will process with the Lord Mayor of the City of London and will give the final Blessing. The preacher will be the Primus of the Episcopal Church of Scotland, the Most Reverend David Chillingworth, and the choirs of Bristol Cathedral and Southwell Minster will join that of St Paul's Cathedral to provide the music. Anthems will include 'O Lord make thy servant Elizabeth' by Byrd and 'Great is the Lord' by Elgar.
